Malcolm Dennis Price, 88, of Draper Street, Ninety Six, beloved husband of Dorothy Braxton Price, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at his home.
Born in Honea Path, he was a son of the late Lewis Jennings Price and Eunice Johnston Price. Malcolm devoted 29 years of his life to Moore Business Forms as a Foreman. He had a passion for music, particularly Good Southern Gospel. His love for singing led him to be part of the Senior Adult State choir, where he traveled extensively and competed with his fellow musicians. Malcolm's melodic voice illuminated countless lives and brought joy to the hearts of those who had the privilege of hearing him sing. Malcolm was an avid supporter of Clemson University and could always be found cheering on his favorite team during football games. He was known for his genuine concern for friends and neighbors, always lending a helping hand and providing solace to those in need. He never faltered in his commitment to attending the funeral services of those he cared for, honoring their lives with his presence and kind words.
Malcolm was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Dorothy for an incredible 70 years. Their love was a testament to their dedication and unwavering support for each other throughout the years. Together, they created a loving and nurturing environment for their family, who will forever cherish the memories they shared. He was a member of the Ninety Six Church of God, where he served as a former assistant clerk. His unwavering faith, coupled with his compassionate nature, touched the lives of many within the congregation and the community.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Evelyn Braxton, Elwood Price; and a son-in-law, Melvin Whitley.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Gerald Price (Cindy), Barbara Whitley and Dennis Price (Anita); a sister, Nellie Hoenes (Karl); granddaughter, Heather Frankle (Jesse) and great grandson, Matthew Frankle.
Services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Roland officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the service from 1-2pm.
