Mamie Manson, 84, formerly of 307 West Creswell Avenue, widow of Winton Manson, Sr. died Friday, December 11, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in York County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Lee and Annie Lee Windell Lightsey. Mrs. Manson retired from Greenwood Mills where she was in the Quarter Century Club and attended Rice Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Winton Manson, Jr. of Greenwood; a son-in-law, Marion Boone of Greenwood; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gwen Boone and by a brother, James Windell Lightsey. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Ethridge, Leroy Harrison, Buddy Hastings, Terry Boone, Mike Dorn and Morris Dorn. Honorary escort will be the members of her Sunday School Class. The family is at the home of her granddaughter, Amy Owensby, 123 Garner Heights Road, Greenwood.
