Marcia Joy Lubar Hogan, 60, of 2810 County Farm Road, widow of Jeff Hogan, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Bertram Lubar and Marilyn Klein Lubar. She received her bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Florida and was a US Navy veteran. Marcia enjoyed spending time with her family, art, cooking, sudoku puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and devotionals. She was a World Vision Child sponsor, "His Radio" prayer partner, and mentor for young women at the McCormick High School Sisterhood Club. She was a member of Legacy City Church, where she volunteered in the care room. She always enjoyed welcoming visitors into the church. No matter where she met someone new in her daily life, she always took the opportunity to share her love of Jesus with them.
Surviving are her children, Rachael Hogan (Brian Hinojosa) of Lancaster, CA, Priscilla Nunn (James), and Joshua Hogan, both of Greenwood; sisters, Annette Kronmiller, and Judi Bell; grandchildren, Angelina, Phoebe, and Luna; and six nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at South Main Baptist Church. The family will receive friends before the service from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. at the church. Light refreshments will follow at the home of Robbie and Jenn Earle.
