Margaret Davis Maddox, 86, of 605 Cross Street, widow of Robert Lee Maddox, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Abbeville, she was a daughter of the late William McKnight and Jettie Ashley Davis. She was retired from Greenwood Mills, Mathews Plant, where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was a member of Mathews United Methodist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Surviving are two daughters, Betty Maddox Thomas and her husband, Ralph Thomas, of Greenwood and Marie Maddox Wren and her husband, Dr. David Wren, of Spartanburg; a sister, Janice Bouknight of Tipton, GA; a brother, Paul Davis of Abbeville; four grandchildren, Kimbler Neal Rushing, Teresa Neal Love, Dr. Jennifer Wren and Ashley Wren; two step granddaughters, Sherry Thomas and Beverly Thomas; 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
