Marie McCravy Malcom, 101 years old, of 139 Garner Heights, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late Samuel M. and Minnie Riddle McCravy. Marie attended Lander College and was a graduate of E. C. Hazzard School of Nursing in Long Branch, NJ. She retired after working for many years for Dr. Schneider�s office in Ninety Six, SC. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, where she served as the organist for many years. She was also a member and former president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Marie has outlived her three husbands, Dudley Shaffer, Ralph Coleman and Hubert Malcom. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Nell Laughlin and her brothers, Rex McCravy, Lewis McCravy and Joe McCravy. She is survived by her son, Richard Shaffer and his wife, Gwen, of Lexington, SC; granddaughters, Sabra Corley (Buddy) and Cynthia Shaffer; great grandchildren, Hannah Corley, Paul Corley (Faith) and Melissa Corley (Tom); a nephew, Sam McCravy (Ellen); and great nieces and nephews, Lynn Davis (Kent), Lisa Addison (Ronnie), Marion Nichols, Matt McCravy (Missie), Lee Alexander and Layne Alexander (Nancy).
