Marion "Big Ma " Davis Lawton, 88, of 123 Pratt Drive, widow of Eddie L. Lawton, Sr., died Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Lucy Teddards Davis. Mrs. Lawton retired from Grendel Mills and was a member of Ninety Six Church of God. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Hilley and Marie Goldman and her husband, Ted, all of Ninety Six; a son, Eddie Lawton, Jr. and his wife, Drenda, of Greenwood; eight grandchildren, Angela Moore, Michael Hilley, Jr., Ted Goldman, Jr., Leonard Goldman, Lewis Goldman, Mark Goldman, Chad Lawton and Ann L. DuBois; nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
