Marjorie Brown Henning, 94 of 1315 Laurel Avenue East, Greenwood, widow of Theodore John Henning, died on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at her home.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late George and Gertrude Stone Brown. Marjorie was a Corporal in the Army Air Corp during WWII. She was formerly employed with Family Dollar and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Bagley.
Surviving are four sons; Mark Henning (Debbie) of Easley, Ronald Henning and Robert Henning and Gene Wood, all of Greenwood; three daughters; Sherry Claphan (Ken), Suzan White (Bill) both of Greenwood and Kathie Nixon (Dale) of Columbia; a sister, Betty Moore of Greenwood; ten grandchildren; Jennifer Fleming (Joe), Jack Henning, Melissa Brooks (Tim), Josh Revels (Rene), Lainey Shaffner, Jay White, Jason White, T. J. Henning (Robin), Donnie Henning (Tracy) and Barry Nixon; and twelve great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Timothy Tebalt officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jay White, Jason White, Joe Fleming, T. J. Henning, Donnie Henning and Gene Wood.
The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm.
