Marjorie McAlister McKinney, 93, of 1110 Marshall Road and formerly of 607 Pembroke Road, widow of J.B. McKinney, died Friday, December 15, 2017 at Wesley Commons.

Born in Asheville, NC, she was a daughter of the late Julian Robert McAlister, Sr. and Ida Lee Rush McAlister. She was retired from Capsugel and was a life-long member of Bethel Methodist Church in Callison.

Surviving are her son, Charles L. Mayson (Mildred Ann) of Lilburn, GA.; two daughters, Rebecca M. Dow and Donna M. Creswell (Reid), both of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, W. Paul Dow, Paige C. Crowell, Angela M. Bonner, Reid M. Creswell, Rhonda D. Merritt, Leanne M. Anthony and Tara C. Wall; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Frances Brinson and her husband, Russell; her brother, Julian R. McAlister, Jr. and his wife, Scottie; a son-in-law, Ronnie Dow; and a grandson, Lee Sadler Creswell.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Darrah officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Paul Dow, Mack Creswell, Bill Crowell, Todd Wall, Doug Bonner and Mark Merritt.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
