Marjorie Beeco Melton, 80, of 2401 Callison Highway, widow of Richard P. Melton, died Sunday, June 14, 2009 at her home. Born in Homestead, FL, she was the daughter of the late Bettex Marion Beeco and Leona Beeco McCorkle. She retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of Matthews United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters: Theresa Summey and her husband Bryan of Bradley and Freida Scott of Greenwood; a son Mike Melton and his wife Delores of Greenwood; three sisters: Tymexcina �Tommie� Ford of Aiken, Katherine Sligh of Greenville and Mary Elizabeth �Lib� Miller of Stanley, NC; a brother Bettex Marion Beeco, Jr. of Newberry; seven grandchildren: Stephanie Gossett, David Scott, Michael Melton, Richie Summey, William Scott, Melissa Payne and Jonathan Luquire; and ten great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons along with Marion Boone. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646. The family is at the home of Mike and Delores Melton, 2401 Callison Highway, Greenwood.
