Marlene Martha Cerasoli Buswell, 91, wife of Gordon Charles Buswell, died Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Self Regional Medical Center, Greenwood, SC.
Born in Barre, VT, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ila Sawyer Cerasoli. Marlene found her passion in banking, dedicating many years to her career, where she made lasting friendships and consistently inspired those she worked with. However, it was her role as a beloved wife and homemaker that truly defined her life. She was married to her sweetheart, Gordon, for a remarkable 72 years-a partnership filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
A true homebody at heart, Marlene loved spending her days birdwatching. Her nurturing spirit shone brightly in the warmth of her home, where she took great joy in caring for her family.
Marlene is survived by her husband; her children, Gordon Buswell, Michele Buswell and Perry Buswell and her sister, Kay Boney.
