Marquis Roshad Valentine, 25, of 106 Parkgate Court, Simpsonville, died Monday, September 9, 2013. Born in New Haven, CT, he was a son of Mary Valentine Freeman and Reginald �Reggie� Freeman. He had attended Emerald High School and Greenwood High School and was employed by Sonic as an assistant manager in the Simpsonville restaurant. He attended Mission Fellowship Evangelistic Center in Mauldin. Surviving are his parents of the home; a sister, Saulena Hill of Greenwood; a brother, Travis Valentine of Greenville; a nephew, Jayveria Watson; aunts, Alice Valentine of Williamston and Dorshawn Hicks of Connecticut; extended family, Denise Ross and her sons, Stan and Clint Getzelman, all of Greenwood and many cousins.
