Martha Adilene Hudson Davis, 83, formerly of 501 Foundry Road, widow of Barney Wayne Davis, Sr., died Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Wesley Commons. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Albert Hudson and Julia Seabell Hudson Strom. Martha worked at Greenwood Mills and retired from Abney Mill where she was in the Quarter Century Club. She was in the Flower Club, Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Trinity Tabernacle where she was in the Lasies Sunday School Class. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a son, Barney Wayne (Joyce) Davis, Jr. of Greenwood; three grandsons, Richard (Renee) Davis of Ninety Six, Jeff (Amy) Davis of Winston Salem, NC and Schanen (Donna) Davis of Winnsboro, SC; five great grandsons; and two great-great grandsons.
