On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, the Neal and Adams family suffered a great, great loss in their lives. Someone they loved fell asleep in death. A mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law and spiritual sister in faith, Martha Jean Divens.

Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Robert "Rag" and Christine Williams Adams. Martha was a faithful servant of Jehovah where she dedicated her life as one of his witnesses on July 18, 1975. She began serving as a full time pioneer (sharing Bible truth) on January 1, 2014. Martha was a faithful member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She is survived by a son, Earthy Neal (Tamara); sisters, Laura Morgan, Julia Simpkins (Jimmie), and Anna Kate Evans (Earl); brothers, Robert Adams Jr., (Joyce Lene) and Sammie Adams (Barbara); grandchildren, Ebony Neal, Ethan Neal, and Natasha Duncan; and a host of nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.

The family will have a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 611 New Market Street, Greenwood, SC 29646 with the Brother Keenan McBride officiating.
The family respectfully asks for privacy. There will be no repass.

Her favorite Bible verse was Psalms 55:22, "Throw your burden on Jehovah and he will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to fall."

Family members are at their respective homes.
