Martha Ann Butler Young, 78, of 105 Baywood Circle, Ninety Six, wife of Hershel O. Young, died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Self Regional HealthCare.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Mattie Jane Wells Butler. She was a member of the First African Violet Society in Spartanburg and attended Ninety Six Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are her children, Allen Young (Monica) of Goose Creek, Hershel Young (Pearl) of Stanford, VA, and Michael Young of Simpsonville; her sister Betty Lou Jones of Ninety Six; a brother, Floyd Leon Butler (Frances) of Lugoff-Elgin; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Ann Young.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Ellison officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
