Marvin Blake Stennett, 75, of 645 Davis Street, died Saturday, August 13, 2016 at his home.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Albert and Ruth Jay Stennett. Marvin was retired from Pet Dairy Company. He was a mason, member of Woodman of the World, and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Lillian Joan Cockrell Stennett; a sister, Barbara Smith and a brother, Jack Stennett.
Surviving are his children, Frankie Burnett (Bonnie) of Saluda, Melissa Ruth Putnam of Belton, Rhonda McDonald of Pelzer, Belinda and Skeet Gunter and Jennifer McCall both of Greenwood; three sisters, Alice Faye Lagroon of North Carolina, Sandra Earlene Stewart, and Linda S. Anderson both of Greenwood; two brothers, John Douglas Stennett (Mary) and Bobby Gene Stennett both of Greenwood; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Trevor Reece and Rev. Jerry Denney officiating. Burial will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Dean Gunter, Timothy Gunter, James Gunter, Austin Hastings, Cobe McCall, and Dustin Burnett.
Honorary escort will be Tristan McDonald and Devin Putnam.
The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m.
