Mary Helen Wooten Calliham, 93, formerly of 111 Poppy Lane, resident of NHC Greenwood, widow of James Benjamin Calliham died Monday, June 17, 2019.

Born in Forest City, NC, she was a daughter of the late Paul M. and Minnie Randall Wooten. She was a receptionist at Classic Home Fashions. She was formerly a member of Greenwood First Assembly and presently a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her children, Paul Thomas "Tommy" Calliham, J.B. Calliham, Jr. (Joan), both of Greenwood, and Juanita Leopard of Bradley; daughter-in-law, Karolyn Calliham of Ware Shoals; sisters, Betty Wilson, Paulette Looney, and Eunice Sorrow; brother, Marvin Wooten; fifteen grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren; and twelve great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Dale Calliham; sisters, Flossie M. Stastny, Hazel Louise Peace, and Minnie Ruth Compton; and brothers, Paul B. Wooten John T. Wooten, and Claude B. Wooten.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryant Sims officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the church.
