Mary Stone Cox, 78, of 4314 Moorefield Street, widow of Autrey Wayne Cox, died Friday, September 5, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Abbeville, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Iantha Price Stone. Mary worked with Covidien for 50 years and was a member of Hodges Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mabel Faris; and two brothers, Harold Stone and Robert Stone. Surviving are a son, Chad Cox (Teresa) of Hodges; a sister, Faye Hughes of Greenwood; two grandsons, Tyler and Nick Deitz, both of Hodges; and a special friend and caregiver, Hayley Mathis. Pallbearers will be Charles Stone, Clyde Stone, Greg Hughes, Kenneth Hughes, Bill Crenshaw and Justin Crenshaw.
