Mary Ann Dorn Evans, 71, of Greenwood, wife of Don C. Evans, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Y. Dorn, Sr. and Mary Sue Raborn Dorn. She loved her flowers and crafting, especially crocheting and embroidering. Her favorite thing was to make baby blankets and give to expecting mothers. Mary Ann had a very giving and caring heart and loved her family dearly. She was a member of Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Don of the home; children, Anna Kirby (Byron) of Lexington and April Evans of Greenwood; sister, Linda Polatty (Nelson) of Ninety Six; brother, Wayne Dorn (Lynn) of Florida; and grandchildren, Connor Evans, Jenna Kirby, and Evan Kirby.

She was preceded in death in by a brother, Leonard Dorn, Jr.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd Polatty and Rev. Michael Ventrello officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
