Mary Lucille Brooks Foster, 94, of 413 Abbott Avenue, widow of Alvin Joe Foster, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Magnolia Manor. Born in LaFayette, AL, she was a daughter of the late Alvin Jason Brooks and Dora Strickland Brooks. Mary retired from Abney Mills-Grendel Plant and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret Adams, Flora Starlin, Grace Patterson and Cecil Stanstill. Surviving are two daughters, Faye Fox and Fredna Ann Padgett, both of Greenwood; a son, Bobby Foster (Carolyn) of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Robert "Cornbread " Corbin, Kathy Swink (Ray Evans), Joey Foster and Michael Foster, all of Greenwood; three great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews from AL; four step-grandchildren; twelve step-great grandchildren; twenty-four step-great-great grandchildren; and two special friends, Benny Harrison and Lily Flinn.
