Mary Graham Taylor Harris, 58, of 114 Abbey Court, died Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Hospice House.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of Martha Kinard Taylor and the late Thomas Ray Taylor, Sr. She was an assistant teacher for autistic children in Lexington and Richland counties and was a member of NewSpring Church. With a kind heart and servant attitude, Mary Graham could always be counted on to fill in the gap for whatever task needed to be accomplished. She served at the Columbia campus of NewSpring church since 2009. Always willing to volunteer and be a part of what God was doing, she did it with a joyful heart and a smile on her face. Mary Graham served in many roles at NewSpring, including the facilities team, the KidSpring team, the usher team, and the Care team. She knew that God had called her to be a part of something bigger than herself; she was always giving. Never wanting to be a burden to anyone, she simply lived her life knowing that God had given her purpose, to love Him and serve others. She will be missed by her NewSpring church family.
Surviving in addition to her mother are, her daughter, Emmie Hayes (Thomas) of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Marty Carroll (Vaughn) of Edisto Beach, and Catherine Kelly (Jerry) of Clearwater, Florida; a brother Tom Taylor, Jr. (Vanessa) of Greenwood; four nieces; and five nephews.
