Mary Pearl Young Johnson, 89, formerly of First Street, Greenwood, widow of Ralph Howard Johnson, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late John Presley Young and Martha Powell Davis. Mary retired from Greenwood Mills where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club and was a charter member of First Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ralph Howard Johnson, Jr.; a grandson, Jamey Johnson; and brothers, Pete Young, Clarence Young and Rollie Young.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Jennifer Willis (Kevin); brothers, Jimmy Young and Ernest Young; a daughter-in-law, Marie Johnson; great grandchildren, Dusty Willis (Morgan), Nicki W. Yarborough (Evan), Austin Johnson, Malia Johnson and Collin Johnson; and great-great grandchildren, Dakota Johnson and Wyatt Willis.

Services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Dusty Willis, Evan Yarbrough, Jim Blackmon, Austin Johnson, Collin Johnson and DJ Young.

The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 1-2 pm.
