Mary Joyce Medlock Wooten Leopard, 73, of 107 Cothran Street, wife of Fred Walker Leopard, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Hospice House. Born in Clinton, she was a daughter of the late Luther Gordon Medlock and Ruby Louise Turner Medlock. Mrs. Leopard retired from Joanna Mill and was a member of Ninety Six Church of God where she was in the Ladies Ministries and the Sanctuary Bible class. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Eugene Wooten and by a sister, Vivian Wyatt. Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are four sons, Rev. Gene (Barbara) Wooten of Joanna, Rev. Michael (Sandra) Wooten of Rock Hill, Dan (Jo Ann) Wooten of Clinton and Keith Wooten of Ninety Six; a step son, Roger (Rachel) Leopard of Ninety Six; three step daughters, Angela Seymour , Velvet (Jeff) Dixon both of Hodges and Noel (Richard) Shiflet of Greenwood; two sisters, Barbara (Robert) Taylor and Becky (Tony) Wilbanks, both of Joanna; a brother, Larry Medlock of Cross Hill; sixteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Rev. Gene Wooten, Rev. Mike Wooten, Dan Wooten, Keith Wooten, Roger Leopard and Richard Shiflet Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies Ministries and the Sanctuary Bible class of Ninety Six Church of God Memorials may be made to Hospice House, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
