Mary A. Dyra Schmit, 71, of 14207 Los Altos, Winter Garden, FL, widow of Richard A. Schmit, died Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the home of her daughter in Greenwood, SC. Born in Chicago, IL, she was a daughter of the late John and Verna Dyra. She spent most of her life in the Round Lake Beach, IL area and spent ten years in Florida. Mrs. Schmit loved knitting, traveling, spending time with her grandchildren and working at the Wauconda Apple Orchard. She was a member of St. Joseph�s Catholic Church, Round Lake, IL. Surviving are three daughters, Kim Bush of Greenwood, Patricia Blauvelt of Round Lake, IL and Deborah Ticovitch of Lake Villa, IL; two sons, Richard Schmit and John Schimmel, both of Winter Garden, FL; a brother, John Dyra of Cary, IL; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Mollin.
