Mary Elsie Wells Sprouse, 89, of NHC of Greenwood, formerly of 617 Cedar Springs Road, Bradley, widow of Lester T. Sprouse, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Hospice House. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Albert Twiggs and Hilda Ouzts Wells. Mary Elsie retired from Park Davis and was a member of First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where she was in the WMU and a member of the TEL Sunday School Class. Surviving are two sons, James Sprouse and his wife Shirley of Bradley and Stanley Sprouse and his wife Barbara of Greenwood; a daughter, Ann Scott Rodgers and her husband Larry of Greenwood; a brother, Horace Wells of Greenwood; twelve grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Joel M. Sprouse; three sisters; and three brothers. Pallbearers will be Tim Sprouse, Schanen Sprouse, Travis Scott, Shane Sprouse, Ben Sprouse and Josh Rodgers.
