Mary Jane Gambrell Stennett, 85, of 206 Merriman Avenue, widow of Arthur Woodrow Stennett, died Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Hospice House. Born in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late W. F. and Lillian Knowles Gambrell. She was retired from Parke-Davis, was a patient sitter and a member of West Side Baptist Church. Surviving is her daughter, Darlene Calhoun and her husband, Bill, of Greenwood and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Otis Odell Stennett; her stepson, Kenneth Stennett and her twin sister, Martha K. Gambrell. The family is at the home of Darlene and Bill Calhoun, 315 Manning Road. It is requested that flowers be omitted and memorials made to the West Side Baptist Church building fund, 215 Bypass 225 South, Greenwood, SC 29646.
