Obituary
Mary Davis Syms, 91, of 109 Turtle Dove Court, Warner Robins, GA and formerly of Greenwood, SC, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Warner Robins Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Parksville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Richard A. and Susie Alice Buchanan. She was of the Baptist faith and retired from Greenwood Mills, Mathews Plant.
She was twice married, first to the late Arthur Davis of Greenwood and secondly to the late Jimmy Syms of Waynesboro, GA.
Surviving are a sister, Lucy Simpson of Greenwood; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary A. and Kathleen Davis of Warner Robins, GA, James M. "Jim" and Sherry Davis of Raleigh, NC; two grandsons, Adam P. and Jeffery A. Davis, both of Warner Robins, GA and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death in by three sisters, Alice Lester, Elloree McDaniel and Pauline Swancey and six brothers, John Belton "JB" Buchanan Sr., William Jasper "Buck" Buchanan, Bob Buchanan, Dallas Buchanan, Richard "Coot" Buchanan and Luther Buchanan.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating.
It is respectively requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice, 1057 North Houston Road, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
