Obituary
Mary Ellen Stancil Thompson, 80, of 1813 Emerald Road, widow of James Hubert Thompson, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at her home.
Born in Cateechee, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Roy and Ollie Mae Thomas Stancil.
Surviving are her children, Teresa Thompson, James W. Thompson, and Billy K. Thompson; sister, Ann Moore; brother, Randolph Stancil; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra E. Thompson and a sister, Margaret Smoothers.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Oakbrook Memorial Park with Rev. Michael Babb officiating.
The family members are at their respective homes.
