Melody Ann Boyes Cumley, of Cross Hill, widow of Danny Kenneth Cumley, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024, at her home.
Born in Denver, Colorado, she was a daughter of the late Claude F. Boyes and Verna Lou Hamilton. Melody was a woman who exuded love and compassion in everything she did. Her selfless nature shone brightest in her role as a devoted wife to her loving husband for an incredible 52 years. She was also a loving mother, dedicating herself to the care and well-being of her children. Melody was a devoted and doting grandmother to her grandchildren. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her family to include a deep love for animals. Melody had a heart filled with compassion and would never hesitate to extend a helping hand to any creature in need. Melody's cooking skills were renowned among her family, friends and even animals with her beef stroganoff being an all-time favorite. She always knew the best way to their heart was with food. She was a member of Cowboy Church in Wray, Colorado.
Along with her husband she was also preceded in death by her dog, Sadie and Duckie (cockatiel).
Surviving are her children Kevin Cumley (Georgette) and Casey Cumley (Ginger Sawdy); grandchildren, Jasz Tucker Cumley, Erik Cumley; and her beloved felines, Brutus "Brutty" and Bear.
