Meredith Teasley Upton, 74, of Greenwood, wife of Gary Thomas Upton, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood on August 10, 1949, daughter of the late Hugh W. Teasley and Ruth Evans Teasley, Meredith was a woman of grace, compassion, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Always by her husband's side, Meredith found joy in accompanying Gary on his travels, cherishing those moments spent together on the open road. Her deep love for animals, especially her dogs, was a testimony to her compassionate nature and nurturing spirit.
She is survived by her husband Gary of the home; children, Wallace Upton (Anna), Gerald Upton (Tammy), Thomas Upton (Noelle), and Margaret Upton, all of Greenwood; two sisters, Cindy Smith and Denise Teasley; thirteen grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
