Michael Gene Mohr, 64, passed away on July 20, 2026, in Greenwood, SC at his home.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Eugene and Lula Bell Simmons Mohr.

For over 25 years, Michael found his calling on the open road. As a professional over-the-road truck driver, he was known for his work ethic and reliability, proudly representing Averitt Express throughout his career. While he loved the freedom of traveling, his truest joy came from the simple, peaceful things in life: spending a quiet afternoon fishing, golfing, or working in his garden. More than anything, Michael was a family man. He treasured the time he spent surrounded by his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Mohr; daughters, Anna Marie Mohr (Lydsay Donaldson), Crystal Sears (Ronnie) and Samantha Stewart (James); son, Christopher Stewart (Angel); sister, Cathy Stidham; grandchildren, Jerimiah Sorrow, Ian Hightower, Christyon Hightower, Charles Hightower, CJ Stewart, Kaylee Stewart, Trinity Stewart, Jacob Crawford, Abigail Crawford, Matthew Crawford, Breanna Weeks, Shyanne Abbott, and Jaxson Abbott; and a nephew, Alex James Mohr. 

The family will hold a memorial service at a later time.
