Michael Wayne White Sr., 73, of Troy, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023.

Born in Augusta, GA, he was a son of the late Alfred Langley White Sr. and Mary Sue Furqueron White. Mike loved talking to people and never met a stranger. He loved to piddle around, fix things, spend time with his family and was an avid Clemson fan. Mike was proud of his hometown Troy and lived there most of his life. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and you never worried about what was on his mind. Mike was a lifelong member of Troy United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his children, Jennifer Murray (Greg) of Greenwood, Michele Covington and son-in-law, Keith Covington, both of Greenville and Michael White, Jr. (Mallory) of Simpsonville; sisters, Susie Darby (Donnald) of Palm Bay, FL and Nancy Smith (Clem) of Callison; brothers, Al White (Linda) of Greenwood, Frankie White (Kathy) of Troy, Bill White (Melissa) of Spartanburg and Donnie White (Kippie) of Palm Bay, FL; and grandchildren, Ryne Murray, Zach Murray, Matt Murray, Abby Covington, Molly Covington, Luke Covington, Lea Gibbons, Dylan White, Caleb White, Maddie White, Millie White and Ben White. He was also loved by many nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

Services will be held 11 am on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Troy United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Troy Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Friday from 5-7pm.
