James M. �Mickey� Grogan, 50, of 2517 Airport Road, loving husband to Debra Escoe Grogan, died Friday, July 15, 2011 at his home. Devoted father and grandfather, he was born in Kansas City, KS, and was a son of the late Julius Langford and Mary Goodman Foshee. Mickey was a member of Shade Tree Revival Church and was an avid outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Thelma Goodman. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are three children, Brook Grogan of Simpsonville, Trey (Gina) Grogan and Ty Grogan both of Greenwood; two sisters, Irene Suckman of NY and Carmen Guest of Hodges; two brothers, Bobby (Susan) Grogan of Greenwood and Duane Grogan of Waterloo; grandchildren, Benjamin Hayden, Baylee and Riley McSwain, Charli and Ames Grogan; a special aunt, Renee Lewis Chapman; and special friend, Vernon Kernells. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the James Grogan Political Science Scholarship Fund, Lander Foundation, 320 Stanley Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
