Miriam �Mickey� Jones Henderson, born April 26, 1926, formerly of 205 Autumn Trace, Greenwood, and 3-C Marina Colony, Murrell�s Inlet, SC, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. She was the widow of Grover C. Henderson, Jr. and daughter of the late H. E. Jones and Inez McDonald Jones. She was a lifelong resident of Greenwood County, was a graduate of Furman University with degrees in Political Science and English and did graduate work at Clemson University and the University of South Carolina. She was an educator in Taylors, Ware Shoals and at Northside Junior High School in Greenwood for more than 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Greenwood Woman�s Club and the Isaqueena Study Club. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Grover C. Henderson, III and his wife, Terry, of Greenwood, and H. Keith Henderson and his wife, Kathy, of Marion; three grandchildren, J. Cleve Henderson and his wife, Katie, of James Island, Miriam Elizabeth �Beth� Wagner and her husband, Lee, of Greenwood, and Sarah Kathryn Henderson of Charleston; and a great grandson, Joseph Cleveland Henderson of James Island. The family is at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Grover Henderson, 139 Gatewood Drive. In lieu of flowers, the family and Mrs. Henderson request that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church steeple fund, 722 Grace Street, Greenwood, SC 29649, Magnolia Cemetery Association, c/o Dr. G.
