Michael Barnes "Bootie" Bouknight, 50, of 208 Salak Road, husband of Sherry Rhodes Bouknight, died Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Hospice House.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of Howard and Gail Hawkins Bouknight. Mike was a graduate of Greenwood High School and Piedmont Technical College and was employed by Capsugel for 22 years. He was an avid FLW fisherman and a triathlete and attended New Spring Church.

Surviving are his wife of the home; his daughter, Brittany Bouknight Futch (Nick Futch) and his son, Daniel Heath Bouknight (Lydia Batson), and his parents, all of Greenwood; his sister, Paige Bouknight Thomas (Todd Thomas) of Anderson; brothers-in-law, Tracy L. Rhodes (Tamara B. Rhodes) and Stacy L. Rhodes (Vickie C. Rhodes) and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frankie and Frances Rhodes, all of Greenwood; his grandsons, Greyson Luke Futch and Graham Ellis Futch; nieces and nephews, Ayden Devlin, Olivia Harper Thomas, Anna Rhodes, Emily Rhodes, Carter Rhodes and Caroline Rhodes; his best friend, Frankie Timmerman and his fur babies, Kohle, Ranger and Abby.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harrington Lewis and Ruth Hughey Hawkins and Sidney O. and Bertha Y. Bouknight.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Pastor Rusty Kehl and Pastor Matt Alley officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Kirkland, Frankie Timmerman, Derek Kidd, Tony Adams, Ronald Rhodes and David McBride.

Honorary escort will be Mountain and Road Bike Riders and Fellow Fishermen along with Vince Corley, Derek Kinney, Wesley Lindley, Mike Crawford and Kelly Sanders.

The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
