Kenneth Michael "Mike" Mobley, 66, of Greenwood, died Wednesday, February 12th, 2025 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, SC, he was the son of the Late Kenneth N Mobley, and Wyladene C Mobley. Mike was a graduate of Greenwood High School and attended Spartanburg Methodist, later transferring to Lander University.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He lived a full, rich life dedicated to family, friends, and his work. After more than 40 years as a steel correlator at Eaton, he retired to focus on the things he loved most.

Mike was known for his playful spirit and sense of humor. He could always be counted on to tease you until you cracked a smile, earning him a reputation as the family jokester. Affectionately known as "Mego" his love for his grandchildren was boundless, and he cherished every moment spent with them. A proud Clemson fan and an avid sports enthusiast, he even found his way into soccer after his son Cooper took up the sport.

He was a familiar face on the softball field, playing not just for work, but also on the church league, earning an impressive collection of trophies along the way. Mike loved to gather around the dinner table and, when it came to meals, he wasn't one to skimp. His love for food extended beyond his own kitchen, as he and his wife traveled together, making memories that to Mike, only revolved around where they ate on their adventures.

Married to Dody for 32 wonderful years, yet in each other's lives for 54, their bond was a true testament to love and partnership. Mike treasured his time at the beach, where he could often be found with his toes in the sand and a drink in hand-relaxing from sunup to sundown, with naps in between. He took pride in his well-groomed beard, with a comb never far from his side, and his beloved truck, which was practically an extension of his personality.

Surviving is his loving wife, Dody Mobley; his sons, Thad Mobley (Kim), Cooper Mobley, and Josh Snelling (Laura); his daughter, Jessica Justus (Chip); grandchildren, Maddie, Reagan, Conor, Margot, Max, Alex, and Parker; along with many nieces and nephews, and cousins who were family.

A Celebration of Life reception will be held on June 21, 2025 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Harley Family Center.
