Michael James �Mike� Sathre, 46, of 314 Ridgeway Street, husband of Susan Harris Sathre, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in South St. Paul, MN, he was the son of Robert Sathre, Durene Sathre and Judith Loewen Fox. Mike was a U. S. Army veteran having served two tours in Iraq and was a City of Greenwood police officer. He was a member of New Covenant Church. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home and his parents are four children, Brittney Owen and her husband, Nick, of Easley, Paige Holt and her husband, Stetson, of Greenwood, Kelsey Sathre and Evan Sathre, both of the home; a sister, Brenda Sathre of FL; and two grandchildren Carter Adamee and Naomi Holt. Honorary escort will be the City of Greenwood Police Department. In lieu of flowers the family has request that memorials be made to Teen Challenge, 444 Clinton Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11238.
