Michael "Mike" D. Winchester, 56, of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born in Greenwood on July 4, 1967 to Linda Gayle Long Winchester and the late Carl MacArthur "Mac" Winchester.
Mike was a self-taught electrician in the construction industry, known for his dedication and skill. He had a passion for NASCAR, with a special admiration for Dale Earnhardt, and enjoyed working on and fixing cars and dirt bikes. A simple man at heart, he cherished spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Winchester, his sons, Brandon Winchester (Chris Wilkie), Steven Winchester (Jessie), and his daughter, Kayla Clark (Tripp); grandchildren, Charlie Clark, Wells Winchester, Jacob Newell, Hatcher Clark, Landon Winchester, Jackson Winchester; Brother Joel Winchester (Aleta).
Mike was preceded in death by his father Carl MacArthur Winchester, along with a granddaughter Stephanie Winchester.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 9th from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Harley Funeral Home.
A memorial service to celebrate Mike's life will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Joel Winchester officiating.
Family and friends are invited to visit with the family after the service at Brandon's home, 102 Antler Creek Lane, Greenwood, SC 29646.
