Mildred Jones Floyd, 92, of 1110 Marshall Road, widow of Earnest Wilbur Floyd, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Wesley Commons. Born in McColl, SC, she was the daughter of the late Douglas Matthew Jones and Mary Henderson Jones. Mildred retired from Greenwood Mills where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club and was a member of Laurel Baptist Church. Mildred was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are three sons, Earnest Coleman Floyd and his wife Jackie, Randy Floyd, all of Greenwood and Rudy Floyd and his wife Carolyn, of Pelzer; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Floyd, Christopher Floyd, Austin Riser, Tommy Cox and Wayne Bledsoe. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Laurel Baptist Church, 330 Sample Road, Greenwood, SC 29649. The family is at the home of her son, Earnest Floyd, 1414 East Durst Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29649.
