Mildred A. Gowan, 86, formerly of Greenwood, widow of Ed Gowan, died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at the Arbor Trail Rehab Center, Inverness, FL. Born in Morganton, NC, she was a daughter of the late Hartsell and Wilhelmina Stacy Lackey. Surviving are two daughters, Lynne G. Wells and her husband, David, of Inverness and Pamela Patrick and her husband, John, of Colorado Springs, CO; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Audrey Hope and her sister, Thelma Callahan.
