Mildred Burriss Penn, 92, resident of Wesley Commons and formerly of Sunset Drive, widow of James G. Penn, died Monday, September 26, 2011 at Hospice House. Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Cleon P. Burriss, Sr. and Zella Mae Kinard Burriss. She was a graduate of the Greenwood College of Commerce and retired from Greenwood Savings and Loan Association following 20 years of employment. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving is a sister, Argyle Carson of Greenwood. She was preceded in death by sisters, Sybil Snyder, Mabel Dukes and Edna Raborn and brother, C. P. Burriss, Jr.
