Mildred Patterson Shealy, 83, widow of Troy Adolphus Shealy, her husband of 61 years, died Monday, May 11, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Enoree on May 18, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Vera Knighton Patterson. She attended Woodruff schools and was a proud member of the Hodges Chapter #272, Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Shealy was a former Girl Scout leader and was a Sunday School teacher in early years at Harris Methodist Church and later at Panola Methodist Church. She was currently a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and the Adult #1 Sunday School Class. Her life was one of service to God, her family and friends. She was a devoted mother who especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. All of her family will surely miss her and all the wonderful times they shared. She loved reading, gardening and traveling with her husband and family. Surviving are her children, Brenda Liner (Blake) and Patricia Poole (Les) of Greenwood and Wayne Shealy of Central; brothers, Wendle Patterson of Greeneville, TN and Paul Patterson of Clinton; grandchildren, Chris Liner (Meredith) of Laurens, Patrick Liner of Boone, NC, Angela Bradshaw (Leldon) of Sumter, William Lewis (Teri) of Greenville, Leslie Poole, Jr. (Raye) of Greenwood, Andrea Poole of Cincinnati, OH, Beth, Troy and Abby Shealy of Central and eleven great grandchildren, Cade and Emma Liner, Kensley Bishop, Landon and Kaleb Liner, Thomas and Kate Lewis, Blakely and Brayden Bradshaw, Holden and Jordan Poole. She was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.
