Obituary

Minnie Lee Botts Jackson, 96, of 1416 Woodlawn Road, widow of William Fred Jackson, died Sunday, September 24, 2017 at her home.

Born in Abbeville, she was a daughter of the late John William and Emma Fleming Botts. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, where she kept the nursey for over forty years.

Surviving are her four daughters, Risa McAllister of Greenwood, Mary Stroud of Waterloo, Peggy Arthur of Plano, TX., and Carolyn Gary of Conyers, GA.; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; fifteen great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Botts and Rosella Jackson and four brothers, Roy Botts, Claude Botts, Dewey Botts, and Floyd Botts.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rick Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Fred Johnson, Dan Greer, Benji Tedards, Ray Jackson, Rick Jackson, and Jim Alexander.

Honorary escort will be Gavin McAllister, Noah Pivaral, Jake Tedards, and Lanlon Owen.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
