Minnie Mae Murray Morse, 76 of Greenwood, wife of Wesley Morse, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born on May 2, 1949 in Lavonia, GA, she was a daughter of the late Larry Murray and Hazel Sutherland Murray Hastings.
Minnie was a devoted member of Trinity Baptist Tabernacle, where her deep faith found expression in a lifelong dedication to studying the Bible and listening to sermons from her favorite preachers. An avid reader, she also enjoyed a quieter pursuit of knowledge and relaxation through word searches.
A true entrepreneur at heart, Minnie had a vibrant passion for buying and selling items. She could often be found on a Saturday morning enthusiastically navigating yard sales, garage sales, and second-hand shops, always on the hunt for a hidden treasure or a quality item to give a new home. This love for the "hunt" was just one of the many ways she connected with her community.
Above all else, Minnie's greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her loved ones, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose laughter and presence brought a unique sparkle to her eyes. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion, a strong Christian example, and an enduring spirit of generosity.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert, two sons, Stephen Morse (Sally) and David Morse (Patricia); five grandchildren, Jordan Morse (Brandon Weeks), Joshua Morse, Jason Morse (Elena), Kaleigh "Kale" Morse, and Aiden Morse; three great grandchildren, Danica, Evie, and Andrew; along with multiple extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Trinity Baptist Tabernacle, 910 Sweetwater Road, Greenwood, SC 29646.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Home Ministry, 144 Faith Home Road, Greenwood, SC 29649.
