Mitzie Elizabeth DeHart Robinette, 79, devoted wife of Theodore D. Robinette, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025, at her home in Ninety Six, SC.
Born April 15, 1945, in Beaver Dam, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Virgil and Vera Mae Jackson DeHart. There, she was a long cherished member of Brown's View United Methodist Church. She had over thirty years as a successful real estate broker in Hendersonville, NC where, with the help of her husband Ted Robinette, raised her three sons, Jason, Ben and Matt Tweed. There, she attended Grace Lutheran Church.
In 2002 they moved to Ninety Six, SC for Ted's work. She quickly built new friendships, continued her quilting and playing bridge and entertaining family and friends on the lake.
Mitzie was no ordinary person. She was gifted with an excellent mind, beauty and many talents, including cooking and quilting. Everything she did had to be the best, and it was. She applied all of her talents to serving others and never herself. She never turned away from someone in need. Her charm and empathy made friends of all who met her. She is loved by all.
She is survived by her husband. Ted Robinette, her three sons, Jason Tweed (Jenni), Benjamin Tweed, and Matthew Tweed; sisters, Linda Hopp (Dan) and Virgie King (Bill Mitchell); grandchildren, Madison Claire Justus (Lane), Noah Hamilton Tweed (deceased), Jack Tweed, Sara Woody (Kam) and Ashley Tweed; and great granddaughter, Taylee Rayne Woody.
A memorial service will be held at Harley Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2pm. The family will receive friends before the service from 1-2pm.
