Maureen "Moe" Ann Mullen, 70, of Silverstreet, wife of Kathryn Elaine Bach, passed away on November 4, 2023, at her home.

Born in Buffalo, New York, she was the daughter of the late John Mullen and Ann Mullen Dorrance. Moe dedicated her life to the field of education. She found her true calling as a Physical Education teacher, inspiring countless students to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle. Her commitment to her students went beyond the classroom, as she organized unforgettable field trips that allowed them to experience the wonders of nature firsthand.

Outside of her teaching career, Moe found solace and joy in the company of dogs. As a passionate dog owner, she nurtured and cared for Rottweilers with unwavering love and dedication. Her love for dogs extended beyond her own pets, as she selflessly created dog calendars for her friends and initiated a fund to assist dog owners in need of financial support for surgeries.

She also had a fearless spirit for adventure. She enjoyed scuba diving and capturing the breathtaking underwater world through her photography. Her stunning photographs, both of her beloved dogs and the underwater landscapes, captured the beauty and awe of nature, showcasing her artistic talent and creative eye. Moe was also very musical and loved to play the guitar and banjo. She co-wrote many original songs that were recorded for the ultimate field trip. Traveling the world was another passion of Moe's, she enjoyed exploring new cultures, immersing herself in different traditions, and expanding her horizons.

Moe's warm and vivacious personality endeared her to all who knew her. Her infectious laughter, sharp wit, storytelling and genuine kindness created a welcoming atmosphere for everyone she encountered. She had an incredible ability to connect with others, making lifelong friendships along the way.

Surviving in addition to her wife of the home are her fur babies that were her children: Kellen, Declen and Vern; family and countless friends and former students who loved her dearly.
