Myrtle Burke Bailey, 90, of 526 Haltiwanger Road, widow of Cecil O Bailey, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Abbeville Area Medical Center. Born in Odum, GA, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Fulton Burke and Georgia Jackson Burke. Mrs. Bailey was a housewife and a member of First Baptist Church where she was in the Jo Ann Gray Circle, Never Grow Old group and Trinity Sunday school class. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for over 30 years and was an avid bridge player. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Genella Crittenden and Wilma Grimes. Surviving are two sons, Charles Bailey (Jean) of Lexington, SC, Gene Bailey (Nancy) of Richburg, SC; five grandchildren Burke Bailey (Melody), William (Bo) Bailey, Shannon Parker (Lamar), Lt. Michael Bailey (Crystal), and Stephen A. Bailey (Mandy); six great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be ‎Burke, William "Bo ", Michael, and Stephen Bailey, J‎ohn Timmerman, Randy Crittenden, Edward Crittenden, and Phillip Crittenden.
