Nancy Ann Smith Woodard, 71, of 130 Pine Ridge Drive, widow of Donald Louie Woodard, died on Monday, October 28, 2013 at her home. Born in Clinton, she was a daughter of the late James Henry and Hazel Virginia Harris Smith. She was retired from Greenwood Mills, Harris Plant and was a member of Connie Maxwell Baptist Church, where she worked in the nursery. Nancy enjoyed soap operas, internet surfing, computer games and social networking. Surviving are her children, Robert James Motte (Janice), Nancy Louise Johnson, Donald Henry Woodard (Doris), all of Greenwood, and Michael Wayne Thompson, Jr. (Diane) of Saluda; sisters, Carless Dunaway of Newberry, Jamie Snair of Carrollton, OH and Kathy Moree of Honea Path; grandchildren, James Henry Holder of Gilbert, Melissa Faye Motte, William Richard Motte, Robert James Woodard and Betty Ann Price, all of Greenwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Carol Turner and a son-in-law, Earl Johnson. Pallbearers will be Tony Dunaway, Bruce Snair, Edward Smith, Charles Agnew, Bryan Lindley and Cody Price. Grandchildren and great grandchildren will be honorary escorts. The family is at the home.
