Nannie Belle Spearman King, resident of NHC Greenwood, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the age of 104.
Born on March 12, 1921 in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late Ernest S. Spearman and Nannie Gambrell Spearman. She was known for her vibrant spirit and passion for life, always eager to share her love of painting, decorating, cooking, tending to her garden, and nurturing her love for flowers. Nannie was a member of Open Water Tabernacle. She had a strong faith and deep commitment to her church community, being there anytime the doors were open when she was able.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of NHC Greenwood for the exceptional care they provided Nannie, especially Ms. Tina, whose kindness made a significant difference in her later years.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Davenport; grandchildren, Angie Deale (Derek), Melissa Segone, Mandy Hall, and Dana Lawton (Jeremy); and a number of great and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by all her siblings.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Graceland Cemetery West in Greenville, SC with the Rev. Rick Harrison officiating.
