Nannie Lou Edmonds Phillips, 86, formerly of 2116 Highway 221 South, widow of Wesley Richard Phillips, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Magnolia Manor. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin and Katie Goldman Edmonds. She was employed by Abney Mills and Greenwood Mills, was a member of the Eastern Star and Abney Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a member of the T.E.L. Sunday School Class and taught beginners Sunday School. She loved baking, her specialty being wedding cakes. Surviving are three daughters, Doris Jene Cockrell (Charlie), Janice Duncan (Wayne) and Becky Timmerman (Al), all of Greenwood; five grandchildren, Mendy D. Miller, Chris Cockrell, Joshua Cockrell, Robert Timmerman and Chad Timmerman; and five great grandchildren, Wesley Timmerman, Carson Timmerman, Macy Timmerman, Haley Miller and Zack Miller. She was preceded in death by her two sisters and nine brothers. Pallbearers will be grandsons and Kyle Morse. Honorary escort will be members of the T.E.L.
