Nathan Jackson �Jack� Butler, 90, of 134 Donegal Drive, widower of Dorothy L. Butler, died Friday, September 17, 2010 at his home. He was born on August 13, 1920 in Chicopee, MA, the son of the late Kenneth C. and Bernice B. Butler. He was a 1938 graduate of Bradford Academy and a 1940 graduate of Concord Business College. He was a partner in The Jackman Company, Inc., manufacturers of bobbins for the textile industry, for 30 years. He was personnel manager for Channel Mills and Channel Finishing for ten years. He retired in 1982, after living in East Corinth, VT since 1933, and moved to Greenwood, SC with his wife, whom he married on September 9, 1942. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, and an Associate Member of the East Corinth Congregational Church, East Corinth, VT. He was Treasurer for the Town of Corinth for five years, Treasurer of the Blake Memorial Library for 25 years, and Treasurer and Director of Northeast Slopes Ski Tow, Inc. for ten years. He served on various committees in the East Corinth Church for 18 years. He was a director for the Associated Industries of Vermont for three years and was a Mason. Jack was an avid golfer and sportsman. He was a member of Star Fort National Golf Club, a former member and stockholder of the Bradford Golf Club, Inc., and a member of Lake Morey Golf Club, Fairlee, VT. He served as President of the Bradford Golf Club for ten years and was a Director of the Vermont State Golf Association for three years. Surviving is a daughter, Sue A. Stuart of Monroe, NH; a son, Kenneth C. Butler of Greenwood, SC; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
